About Airdrie Parades
A Community Tradition, Built Together
At Airdrie Parades, we believe that the most meaningful community moments are the ones we create together. As a volunteer-powered, non-profit organization, we are proud to bring two of Airdrie’s most beloved traditions to life each year: the Canada Day Parade and the Santa Claus Parade.

Powered by Passionate Volunteers
Our committee is made up of passionate, community-minded individuals who share a love for connection, celebration, and creating memorable experiences. From the early stages of planning to the final wave from a passing float, every detail is thoughtfully coordinated with one goal in mind — bringing people together in a way that feels joyful, inclusive, and truly local.
Strong Community Partnerships
These events would not be possible without the incredible support of our partners and volunteers. We work closely with the City of Airdrie, as well as valued community organizations including the Airdrie Irish Football Club, Volunteer Airdrie, and Restore Church. Through these partnerships, along with grant funding and sponsorship support, we are able to continue offering vibrant, family-friendly events that reflect the heart of our city.
Events That Bring Airdrie Together
Our parades are built by the community, for the community. Each float, performer, and participant plays a role in shaping the experience, while the smiling faces lining the streets remind us why we do what we do. Whether it’s the red and white pride of Canada Day or the glowing magic of our Santa Claus Parade, these events are designed to create lasting memories for families, friends, and visitors alike.
Get Involved
We meet seasonally from March to July and again from September to December, with most meetings held virtually to make participation accessible and flexible. We are always welcoming new volunteers who want to contribute their time, ideas, and energy to something truly special.
If you’ve ever watched the parade and wondered how to get involved, this is your invitation. Whether you’re interested in volunteering, joining the committee, sponsoring an event, or registering a float, there is a place for you here.
Creating Something Meaningful Together
Airdrie Parades
Together, we’re not just organizing parades — we’re building traditions, strengthening community, and creating moments that matter.
